National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) Vice-President and General Secretary of the Singapore Teachers’ Union, Mr Edwin Lye, will be leaving the Labour Movement on 31 July 2016. He will be taking up a new role at the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) starting 1 August 2016.
Ms Mary Liew, NTUC President, shares, “In the 20 and more years that he was a unionist, Edwin gave his time and dedicated support to boosting union membership and strengthening industrial and international relations. We thank Edwin for his dedication and many contributions to the Labour Movement.”
“While Edwin will be leaving the Labour Movement, we are confident that his move to the Singapore National Employers Federation signals a win for tripartism. No doubt, Edwin will be able to leverage his extensive experience and knowledge in his new role.
