Visit by Mr Frank Hsieh to NTUC

1          The Singapore National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) has invited Mr Frank Hsieh to visit Singapore in his personal capacity from 11 to 12 August 2007.

2          Mr Hsieh paid a visit to the NTUC this morning and toured the NTUC Gallery, where he was briefed on NTUC’s history, developments and its mission in protecting and advancing the interests of our workers.

3          Mr Hsieh was received by NTUC Acting Secretary-General Heng Chee How and other NTUC leaders, and discussed issues concerning the economy, the workforce and the system of tripartism – relationship between the employers, Government and unions – in Singapore.
