Visit by Dr Ma Ying-Jeou to NTUC

MEDIA STATEMENT

The Singapore National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) has invited Dr Ma Ying-jeou to visit Singapore in his personal capacity from 14 to 15 June 2007.

This afternoon, Dr Ma visited the NTUC and toured the NTUC Gallery, which illustrated NTUC’s history and its mission in protecting and advancing the interests of our workers.

Dr Ma met NTUC Secretary-General Lim Swee Say and other NTUC leaders, and discussed issues concerning workers, the economy, the labour market and the system of tripartism – relationship between the employers, Government and unions – in Singapore.
