Singapore Power Group (SP) together with its subsidiaries, SP PowerGrid and SP Services and its union, the Union of Power and Gas Employees (UPAGE) recently concluded its Collective Agreement (CA) for 2014-2016.
SP’s Group Chief Executive Officer Wong Kim Yin acknowledged the union for its full support of its efforts to shape a dynamic and forward-looking organisation.
"With the strong friendship and partnership with UPAGE, I can say with renewed confidence that SP will be able to stay on top of the many challenges ahead, emerging united and victorious," Mr Wong said.
Signed on 3 October 2013 at the new headquarters in Mapletree Business City, changes in CA include an overall uplift of 12 per cent and nine per cent for minimum and maximum salaries for non-executives.
UPAGE General Secretary Nachiappan Sinniah credited the management for its strong support for the union.
"In the same vein, our bipartite partnership success lies in the trust between the union and company at all levels, from top to the bottom," Mr Nachiappan added.
