The 104th Session of the International Labour Conference (ILC) begins in Geneva, Switzerland from 8 to 11 June 2015
NTUC Secretary-General (SG) Chan Chun Sing and Singapore National Employers Federation’s (SNEF) President Robert Yap will be making their debut in their new posts.
The tripartite delegation from Singapore will be led by Manpower Minister Lim Swee Say who has attended previous ILC meetings when he was with the Labour Movement.
Conference Agenda
The Manpower Ministry says this year’s Conference will discuss issues relating to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and their impact on decent and productive employment creation, and labour protection.
Minister Lim will deliver a speech at the Conference on 10 June 2015, touching on Singapore’s economic situation and recent labour policies.
Minister Lim, SG Chan and Mr Yap will also jointly call on Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Mr Guy Ryder.
Mr Guy Ryder is due in Singapore in October this year for the Tripartism Forum organised by NTUC.
