Toolkits
Toolkits available for downloading cover areas like organising a recruitment roadshow, retention and membership benefits. The MED ORC training guide helps union leaders get a deeper insight into the work that MED ORC does and the services that unions can take advantage of.
If you want to ensure your recruitment campaign is successful, MED ORC prescribes six steps.
A few of these include defining the targets which the union wants to achieve, analysing the profile of the company and its workers, and the attitude of the company towards the union.
There is also a section on membership benefits in the toolkits section.
The eBenefits Booklet shows the various membership benefits in various infographics.
Harnessing Technology
MED ORC has also been using WhatsApp to achieve a wider reach when communicating with union members.
“Our efforts to use the WhatsApp to reach out to union members create awareness on the ground and sometimes they even become a talking point about membership benefits or training grants amongst members,” said MED ORC team member S. Elangovan.
With the help of colleagues from the Corporate Communications Department and its team of designers, MED ORC has come up with various materials on programmes that union leaders can share with members.
These include ways members can tap on the SkillsFuture credit and the Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) for upskilling courses.
