NTUC Unity Healthcare Co-operative Limited pharmacists Sean Ang (left picture, right) and Leng Yew Fei (right picture, right) saved the life of a disabled customer who had not one but two epileptic attacks.
Mr Ang had helped to wheel Mr Melvin home when suddenly Mr Melvin had an epileptic attack. He administered medication and promptly called Mr Leng for assistance. Mr Leng came over to the flat and the two pharmacists decided to stay on to monitor Mr Melvin’s condition. When Mr Melvin had his second epileptic attack, both pharmacists assisted him and he recovered by the end of the night. The next day, Mr Leng called to check on his condition and made a follow-up visit.
Today, Mr Melvin has become good friends with the pharmacists.
