Tesco Comes to Town

Shoppers, here is some good news – Some 60 FairPrice stores island-wide and FairPrice Online will now be offering over 400 Tesco products to expand customers’ choices.

Shoppers, here is some good news – Some 60 FairPrice stores island-wide and FairPrice Online will now be offering over 400 Tesco products to expand customers’ choices.

The range of products includes Tesco’s higher-end products such as Fair Trade certified coffees, authentic Italian pasta, traditional British biscuits and a large selection of award-winning quality wines. These best-in-class products cater to discerning customers who value authentic ingredients sourced with care.  

The partnership between the leading grocery retailers in Singapore and United Kingdom was sealed in an announcement on 26 July 2017.

NTUC FairPrice CEO Seah Kian Peng said: “NTUC FairPrice and Tesco share a common goal to make lives better by providing the community with access to quality products that offer good value. This strategic partnership will help boost our ongoing efforts in catering to the changing lifestyles and tastes of our customers.”

New Retail Experience

FairPrice will also provide a new store-in-store grocery retail experience, starting with FairPrice Finest at Bukit Timah Plaza by providing a modern and sophisticated look-and-feel where about 150 specially curated Tesco products, including the widest selection of Tesco wines, will be available exclusively.

Customers will also have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of Tesco products while Tesco ambassadors will be on hand to share tips and recommendations on the latest international offerings.

Latest Enhancement

The new concept is the latest enhancement to FairPrice’s existing stable of six supermarket formats that cater to different market segments.

Other FaiPrice store formats include reaching out to the general public with FairPrice supermarkets, providing a cosmopolitan and premium selection with FairPrice Finest, a one-stop shopping experience with FaiPrice Xtra, a focused range of products with FaiPrice Shop, an online shopping experience with FairPrice Online, and the opportunity to buy products in bulk with greater savings at Warehouse Club.
