Before arriving at the University Cultural Centre, the gun carriage carrying Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s coffin passed by some important locations around the island. Among them were the NTUC Centre and Trade Union House along Shenton Way
The rain did not deter the Labour Movement, together with members of the public, as they assembled to bid their final farewell.
Many chanted Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s name as the cortege passed by, along with enthusiastic screams of ‘Majulah Singapura!’
