Food and Beverage (F&B) Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) diplomas can now bring you in directly into year three of a four year F&B degree programme with the Johnson and Wales University. At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy and the Johnson and Wales University signed an agreement to articulate the F&B WSQ Diplomas into universitydegrees during At-Sunrice’s Graduation Ceremony on 22 June 2011.

With an easier access to a world-renowned degree, trainees will now have better career progression within the F&B Industry. This is indeeda big leap, as it is the first time a F&B WSQ programme is articulated into university degrees.

Said NTUC Deputy Secretary-General Ong Ye Kung, who was the Guest-of-Honour at the event: “This is a very special project since many years ago, when I was still the Chief Executive Officer of WDA (Singapore Workforce Development Agency). We started to support industry training, and At-Sunrice, if not the first, was the first three that we supported. And after 10 years, we’ve come that far, and I am really proud of the whole team. Now that everyone of you have gotten your diploma, you have the license to pursue your passion, and I think youhave a very bright career ahead of you.”
