Good news for NTUC members with school-going children! You can apply for U Care Back to School Vouchers from now till 10 September 2012 and reduce your spending on school-related expenses.
This year’s U Care Back to School Vouchers will see $4.8 million worth of vouchers set aside to assist some 38,000 school-going children of low-income union members.
With the Labour Movement’s raised income eligibility for U Care assistance programmes, the total monthly gross household income has been set at $2,800 and below or a per capita income of $725 and below.
This is up from the previous gross monthly household income of $2,200 and below or per capita income of $600.
“U Care Back to School vouchers continues to be a very well-received assistance programme under the U Care Fund.
“It has helped our low-income union members and their families in a big way, greatly reducing expenses in preparing their school-going children for the new school term. This year, we hope to reach out to more and deliver a greater impact,” said NTUC Competency Director (Care and Share) Zainal Sapari
