Students are being prepared well in advance for the day they finally enter the job market, especially one that is fast undergoing changes amidst a more globalised marketplace.
To help boost their employability, NTUC’s e2i (Employment and Employability Institute) has been partnering several institutes of higher learning over the past two years.
Several memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with schools such as the Institute of Technical Education, Republic Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic will now give students from these schools the chance to tap on e2i’s wide network of partners, gain insights on industry trends and developments through learning journeys.
Through the initiatives, e2i also hopes to open up platforms to match graduates to employers for gainful employment.
However, e2i said that the Education and Career Guidance (ECG) initiative it provides to each school is not one size fits all, and it would customise them according to the different needs of the schools.
Moving ahead, e2i is looking to collaborate with Nanyang Polytechnic and will be cement the partnership in an MOU at the end of this month.
