Port workers get festive greetings on first day of LNY

At the traditional Lunar New Year visit initiated and organised by the Singapore Port Workers Union (SPWU) and the Port Officers’ Union (POU) to PSA on the first day on 10 February 2013, key union leaders from both unions and senior management dropped Pasir Panjang Terminal to show appreciation to some 200 workers for working on the public holiday.

The entourage included SPWU Executive Secretary and POU Advisor Mr Ong Chin Ang, and PSA Chief Executive Officer (S'pore Terminals) Mr Tan Puay Hin, among others.

The workers were from the operations department which included lashing workers, operations supervisors, technicians, prime mover drivers, and engineering staff.
