NTUC FairPrice has clinched the third position in this year’s ‘Singapore’s Top 100 brands’, revealed by Campaign Asia-Pacific recently. The NTUC social enterprise jumped two positions up after coming in at number five last year.
FairPrice was also the only Singapore-based brand in the top three, coming behind tech giants Samsung and Apple, which have continued to fortify their positions of first and second respectively.
Responding to the latest rankings, FairPrice CEO Seah Kian Peng said: “The improved ranking is a strong testimony of our dedication in serving our customers and also a validation of our commitment towards our social mission of moderating the cost of living. As challenges intensify in the retail landscape, we will continue to innovate to remain relevant to our customers’ needs while staying true to our social goals of making lives better by ensuring daily essentials remain affordable and available for all.”
The other Singapore brand that made it to the top 10 positions was Singtel, which locked in at number 10.
NTUC Income also made it to the top 100, coming in at number 71, and was the only insurance company to make the list.
Each year, the rankings are based on comprehensive research, done by global information, data and measurement company Nielsen, on consumer brand perception.
