New NTUC Appointments for Former Manpower Minister Lim Swee Say

He returns to NTUC in three positions from 1 May 2018.

Following former Manpower Minister Lim Swee Say’s retirement from the Cabinet on 1 May 2018, NTUC has appointed him the trustee of NTUC and chairman of NTUC Administration and Research Unit (ARU) Board of Trustees. 
 
Effective 1 May 2018, Mr Lim Swee Say takes over these appointments from Mr Lim Boon Heng who has been serving both roles since 2007. Both were previously NTUC Secretaries-General.

Mr Lim Swee Say will be safeguarding NTUC’s assets in accordance with its corporate governance practices and overseeing the management of manpower capabilities and resources in ARU.

Additionally, Mr Lim Swee Say was appointed as advisor to the new NTUC Training Council announced by NTUC Secretary-General Chan Chun Sing on 19 April 2018.

The council will work with the Labour Movement’s networks, government agencies, and employers to identify career opportunities, curate training and mobilise working people to go for skills upgrading so that they can stay ahead in the future economy
