A new milestone to transform Singapore's service quality in the retail sector, the training targeting at heartland retailers was conducted in Mandarin to suit the backgrounds and the needs of the trainees. 3. Riding on the earlier success of implementing the customer centric training plan at the major retailers, the training scheme has expanded, for the first time, to include heartland retailers which form the bulk of Singapore retailers. Besides service training, CCI addresses processes improvement, seamless service delivery and measurement of service performance, among others. 4. The Mandarin heartland retailer course is developed and delivered by The Singapore Chinese Chamber Institute of Business (SCCIOB) and supported by Federation of Merchants’ Associations, Singapore, Workforce Development Agency (WDA) and NTUC. ******* Chung Sang Pok |
