NTUC’s Membership Department (MED) and Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group (AKLTG) teamed up once again to bring better benefits to NTUC members - the opportunity to attend personal development workshops by renowned speakers at special rates.

On 20 February 2013, over a hundred participants comprising NTUC members and their guests came together for a three-hour workshop conducted by Mr Leroy Frank Ratnam, Principal Trainer from AKLTG and Certified Licensed Trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Through strategies from the Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Mr Leroy was able to inspire and empower participants to learn how to “programme” their mind to deliver effective and powerful communication. Participants also discovered how to utilise the NLP model to communicate the way they want and to build instant rapport with people.

Participants had many good things to say about the workshop.

“I was motivated to sign up for the workshop as I was keen to learn communication skills and apply it in my workplace. I didn’t realise that there are so many factors to consider in two-way communication,” said NTUC member Budi Irama Harjuna.

Non-NTUC members who signed up at the public rate also benefitted from the workshop.

“I got to know of this event from my boss and I signed up because I think it is important to know how to connect to people and get the right message across. One key point I take back is the importance in understanding the intention behind every message and never making our own assumptions,” said Koong Chen Liang.
