The start-up can also benefit from NTUC LearningHub’s suite of training courses to upskill its current workforce in areas such as data science and analytics.

Start-ups like Alchemy Foodtech, can also tap on the Labour Movement’s network of 58 affiliated unions, seven affiliated associations, 12 social enterprises and over one million members. Through the MOU, NTUC and FDAWU will also support Alchemy Foodtech in their leadership development and employee upskilling needs as they grow their teams. The NTUC Industry Training and Transformation team will also work with the company to develop its business and workforce transformation roadmap through the fully-subsidised Operation and Technology Roadmap (OTR) tool.

FDAWU General Secretary Tan Hock Soon said, “FDAWU plans to leverage the NTUC Training and Placement Ecosystem to support Alchemy FoodTech in its business and workforce transformation efforts. At the broader level, FDAWU hopes to be an aggregator to bring together businesses, industry players and relevant agencies to create opportunities for businesses and our workers.”

CEO and Co-Founder of Alchemy Foodtech Mr Alan Phua shared “Alchemy Foodtech is scaling up to venture into more segments and regional markets. To support this growth, we need to attract talent and deepen the capabilities of our existing team.
