NTUC Women's Development Secretariat Partners with Hotel Industry Association for Recruitment Drive

1 The NTUC Women’s Development Secretariat (WDS) is partnering with the Singapore Hotel Association (SHA) in organising a recruitment drive for the hospitality and service industry on 21 July 2008, Monday at NTUC Centre. This is the first time that WDS is working with an association to invite multiple players in the same industry to offer employment opportunities for women job seekers.
2 Over 100 job vacancies from 11 hotels are available ranging from housekeeping to F&B and front desk operations. This event will be suitable for women who are looking to get a start in the hotel industry as most jobs are at entry-level. The session will begin at 9.00 am with a briefing conducted by SHATEC and followed by on-the-spot interviews for the women jobseekers.
3 This event is a new effort by WDS’ in partnership with an industry association to enhance the employment opportunities in having women back to work. This is in addition to the customised recruitment drives with individual employers that WDS has been organising on an ongoing basis as well as the previous major job fairs.
