The Labour Movement pays tribute to the late Mr S R Nathan – not only as our former President, but also as our brother-in-arms and workers’ keeper. In paying tribute to the man who reminded us to always “have a heart to listen,” we chronicle his journey and friendship with the Labour Movement – from being seconded to the Labour Research Unit in 1962, to occupying the highest office in the land. We will always remember that it was his indomitable will and unflappable resolve that helped to lay the foundations of the Labour Movement today.
