NTUC and StarHub renewed their strategic partnership with an agreement on 27 October 2020. The partnership aims to help prepare NTUC union members to live and work in a more digitalised world.

Meanwhile, NTUC has updated its membership benefits and will roll out a year-end campaign to bring about greater savings, lifestyle benefits and training support for its members.

Over 940,000 members, or around 30 per cent of Singapore’s workforce, will stand to benefit from the partnership and campaign.

The Renewed Partnership

With the arrival of 5G, the renewed partnership will help to boost the readiness of NTUC union members through a new 5G knowledge-building webinar series, along with exclusive discounts on StarHub’s latest infocomm and entertainment services.

NTUC Assistant Director-General Vivek Kumar said: “We have enjoyed a strong partnership with StarHub for the past three years, and we are excited to continue this journey with them.

“Our partnership has introduced many valuable benefits to our Union members, and we look forward to the new opportunities where we can continue to support their needs in life and at work.”

The Year-End Campaign

NTUC will be rolling out its year-end campaign for members from November to December to help members further stretch their dollar.

With new partners like WhyQ, Popeyes and Nestle, the campaign aims to meet and fulfil members’ lifestyle needs, as well as prepare them for future careers through training and upskilling.

Members can look forward to more discounted recreational and leisure activities at attractions such as Gardens by the Bay, Science Centre Singapore, Singapore Cable Car and Sentosa.

The campaign will also see virtual workshops on topics such as health & wellness, child enrichment and photography.

More progression and training programmes will be introduced through partnerships with NTUC’s social enterprises and other training partners to increase members’ employability.

Mr Vivek, who is also the director of NTUC Membership Services Division, added: “Our year-end campaign has been curated to suit our members’ needs, where we hope to provide comprehensive support – from fulfilling their lifestyle needs to enhancing employability and providing platforms to seek career opportunities.

“We hope these efforts can help to protect businesses and preserve workers’ jobs during this challenging period.”
