NTUC LIFT-UP Pathfinder Programme Beneficiaries Meet the Singapore President

President Halimah Yacob played host to 25 beneficiaries from the NTUC LIFT-UP Pathfinder Programme during the Garden Tour@Istana on Friday, 10 January 2020.

LIFT-UP is an initiative by NTUC-U Care Fund which aims to help union members enhance their social mobility.

The LIFT-UP Pathfinder programme, an extension of the LIFT-UP initiative, was started in 2018 to help vulnerable families better prepare themselves in their journey to upgrade their skills, plan their careers and ultimately, effect a more sustainable change as a family.

The Garden Tour@Istana series is one of the key initiatives by the President’s Office to make the Istana more accessible to Singaporeans from all walks of life. The beneficiaries got to learn about the rich variety of herbs and spices at the Istana’s Spice Garden, and to interact with President Halimah.
