NTUC First Campus Co-operative (NFC) scored big when it won more than half of the 10 Early Innovation Awards, including the Gold Award this year.
Singapore’s single largest childcare operator, it also picked up nine out of the 20 childcare awards this year, including the Outstanding Childcare Teacher and Outstanding Early Childhood Leader awards.
The awards are conferred by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS), and winners will officially be recognised at the MCYS Childcare Seminar on October 5 at the Singapore Expo Max Atria.
Shared Mr Chan Tee Seng, Chief Executive Officer of NFC: “Achieving the Exemplary Early Childhood Employer Award this year couldn’t have come at a better time as we are celebrating our 35th anniversary this year.
“I am definitely happy to be able to share this news with all staff as we would not have achieved this award without their strong support.”
He added that at NFC, they believed strongly in investing in their people and creating learning opportunities for them in order to facilitate their career growth.
With a total of over 2,400 staff from 1,300 in 2009, NFC has also increased its number of teaching staff from 856 to 1,563.
The MCYS Award for Exemplary Early Childhood Employer honours and recognises exemplary childcare employers for their commendable Human Resource (HR) and people management practices.
