1 Singapore, 3 November 2011 - NTUC Club is embarking on new developments for Downtown East, as part of its efforts to meet the changing needs of guests and to continue to provide affordable leisure and recreational options for union members, communities and members of the public. With the first phase of the developments starting at the current Escape Theme Park site, Escape Theme Park will be operating its last rides on 26 November 2011.
2 With developments in the pipeline, NTUC Club will be revamping Downtown East in phases, first of which will commence at Escape Theme Park’s site. Details of the developmental blueprint will be announced next year when NTUC Club commemorates its silver jubilee, with a full year of celebrations and activities.
3 To express heartfelt gratitude to the support from all who have made it a wonderful 11 years with Escape Theme Park, the park management and staff is extending a promotion to the park’s supporters, patrons and all who have enjoyed memorable times with the park from 19 to 26 November to have a week of fun and memories with Escape Theme Park one more time.

Promotion mechanics: For just $10, 2 guests will be able to go on unlimited rides at Escape.
2) Free same day admission to Escape with purchase of full-price admission tickets to Wild Wild Wet.
Period: 19 to 26 November
Promotion mechanics: Guests will gain complimentary admission to Escape by showing their Wild Wild Wet ticket stub at Escape. 1 guest admitted for each ticket stub. Only applicable for same day entry to Escape.
The theme park, which was opened by then NTUC Secretary General Lim Boon Heng, has entertained more than four million fun-loving thrill seekers since it started operations in 2000. Through the years, Escape Theme Park has had many successful programmes and activities, including its annual Halloween event, Escape to “Hell”oween, which was in its seventh year running in 2011, as well as a whole range of rides and attractions, like the ever popular Daytona Go-Kart.
