As part of the Labour Movement’s May Day Celebrations 2017, NTUC invited some 25,000 union members, together with their family and friends, to its annual May Day Fiesta on 6 May 2017.

The May Day Fiesta 2017 kicked off with a group appearance of NTUC President Mary Liew, Secretary-General Chan Chun Sing and the Central Committee members, who jointly handed out complimentary ice-cream to the fiesta-goers.

Held at Downtown East, one of the event’s key highlights was the free entry into the recently refreshed Wild Wild Wet, which has doubled its size and added several new attractions. Adventurous adults fed their adrenaline with a near-vertical drop at the ‘Free Fall’, standing at six-storeys high and a swirl down Asia’s first hybrid ‘toilet bowl’ – ‘Royal Flush’.

The younger kids too had their chance for fun at toned-down versions of the rides at the dedicated Kidz Zone. There were also the Wet and Wild Fountain and Splash Play areas, where parents had their fill of bonding time with their children.

For those who did not fancy getting wet, May Day Fiesta 2017 had prepared a host of carnival games and giant inflatable slides over at the D’Marquee. For a touch of the future, there were digital installations such as the advanced ‘Formula 1’ stimulators and the Wii competition, which proved to be popular among many. On top of all these, attendees from all walks of life were delighted by stage performances by nEbO and Young NTUC members.

Beyond Wild Wild Wet, union members also enjoyed the fiesta’s exclusive offers to Orchid Bowl, eXplorerkid, D’Resort as well as various participating retailers at E!Avenue and E!Hub.
