LinkedIn Unveils Singapore’s Power Profiles 2015 - Partners with NTUC to host mentorship sessions in Meet LinkedIn Power Profiles

LinkedIn today unveiled the 2015 Power Profiles in Singapore. This is a showcase of the most-viewed CEOs and leaders across industries such as Human Resources, Finance, Internet, Technology, and Marketing and Advertising for the past year on LinkedIn.

LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network with over 380 million members globally, today unveiled the 2015 Power Profiles in Singapore. This is a showcase of the most-viewed CEOs and leaders across industries such as Human Resources, Finance, Internet, Technology, and Marketing and Advertising for the past year on LinkedIn.

 

In conjunction with the launch of this year’s Power Profiles, LinkedIn is partnering with the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) to host a series of mentorship sessions - Meet LinkedIn Power Profiles, in Partnership with NTUC – as part of the NTUC Future Leaders Programme.

 

“Today, an online professional brand is just as vital for the business that the individual represents. LinkedIn Power Profiles are experts in their domains, who have invested in building their professional identities by sharing their knowledge and inspiring professionals around them, making them the most viewed profiles in Singapore,” said Sandeep Suvarna, Head of Consumer Marketing, Asia Pacific for LinkedIn. “This year, we’re working with NTUC to offer other professionals in Singapore the unique opportunity to be mentored by some of these experts.”

Mentorship Sessions with Power Profiles to Empower PMEs

 

In line with LinkedIn’s vision to create the world’s first Economic Graph which connects all the dots between companies, professionals, skills and educational institutions, LinkedIn will be hosting a series of mentorship sessions in collaboration with NTUC’s Future Leaders Programme - a holistic three-tier learning initiative established to contribute to the growth of Singapore’s PMEs. Since its conception in 2013, the programme has connected over 17,500 PMEs in Singapore with industry movers and leaders.

 

With a joint vision of building a dynamic network of future-ready PMEs, LinkedIn and NTUC have jointly developed a series of mentorship sessions. This initiative is aimed at providing PMEs with an added opportunity to get up close and personal to learn from selected Power Profiles. The series – Meet LinkedIn Power Profiles, in Partnership with NTUC – will be held over a few weeks in October and November 2015 with each evening session featuring a different Power Profile.

 

“We are delighted to partner with LinkedIn to host these closed-door mentorship sessions as part of our Future Leaders Programme, an initiative that has been emerging as a catalyst of progression for our PMEs, preparing them for a rapidly evolving digital age ,” Vivek Kumar, Director of NTUC U Associate and Future Leaders Programme. “These sessions offer participants a rare chance to gather insights and learn from the best as they work towards becoming future leaders.”

 

Each mentorship session is open to 10 participants where they will meet the following Power Profiles:

1)    October 20: Martell von Hardenberg – CEO, Lazada Singapore

2)    October 22: Laurence Smith - Managing Director HR, Group Head of Learning & Talent Development ,  DBS Bank

3)    October 29: Shane Owenby – Managing Director, APAC, Amazon Web Services

4)    November 4: Adaire Fox-Martin - President, APAC Japan, SAP

 

The workshops are open to all Singapore professionals with a complete LinkedIn profile.
