It was a carnival affair at The Promontory @ Marina Bay on 8 August 2015, where more than 5,000 participants turned up at one of the largest Jubilee National Day celebrations for babies and their families.
Aptly called Baby’s Day Out – My First National Day Party, the event saw some 500 jubilee babies born this year celebrate the nation's birthday for the very first time.
Participants were entertained by fringe activities around The Promontory, stage games, performances by The Kids Philharmonic Orchestra and The Polliwogs, and a mass display of fireworks.
Special guests included NTUC President Diana Chia, NTUC Secretary-General Chan Chun Sing, and NTUC FairPrice Chief Executive Officer Seah Kian Peng.
Speaking at the sidelines of the event, NTUC U Family Director Toh Hwee Tin said: “This year, we have 500 jubilee babies and around 1,500 toddlers with us. I’m very happy that the turnout was great despite the participants knowing that the ground would be muddy due to the rain earlier. This, I believe, signifies the spirit of Singapore.”
We bring you the best moments of the event:

Bouncy castles: A very popular fringe activity for the young participants.
Thousands of participants turned up for the event despite the mud-covered ground.
