If you haven’t already read the news about the upcoming SkillsFuture Festival, know this: It’s poised to be bigger and better this year, with more than 350 learning activities scheduled to take place island-wide.
SkillsFuture Singapore is also collaborating with Young NTUC to organise the LIT series of events from 10 July to 1 August 2018.
An abbreviation for Learning is Triggered, LIT will be headlined by the LIT Xchange conference and feature a series of talks, workshops, learning journeys and career empowerment programmes to support youths master the necessary skills for the digital workforce.

LIT Xchange
The LIT Xchange on 10 July 2018 will kick-off the series of events where attendees will get to network with and learn how technology is shaping the future from industry leaders working in companies such as IBM Singapore, Visa and ViSenze.
President Halimah Yacob and NTUC Secretary-General Ng Chee Meng will also be present at the LIT Xchange to engage with youths and trade perspectives.
Learning Journeys
Learning journeys to companies like Grab, IBM Watson and Microsoft will give you an insight into how they are innovating and staying ahead of disruption. Witnessing the experts at work may well inspire fresh ideas and help spur you towards your aspirations.

Innovation Workshop
Get to know the concept of Design Thinking and how it can be applied in the problem-solving process from Carney Mak, the senior business development manager at Wirecard. The evening session on 18 July 2018 at the NTUC Centre will also give youths interested in a Fintech career an overview of the industry, available career opportunities and the necessary skills needed.
Career Mentorship
A Young NTUC signature event, the Youth Career Network’s Career Discovery and Career Mentorship sessions will take place on 24 and 25 July 2018 at the NTUC Centre. The not-to-be-missed sessions will greatly benefit youths looking to learn more about themselves and give them insights on their careers of choice. There will also be opportunities for participating youths to be matched with volunteer career guides for mentorship.
