Since you are staying at home, why not set aside a little bit of time to pick up some knowledge, online?
NTUC LearningHub (LHUB) has partnered training provider GO1 to provide free online courses to learners in Singapore.
Learners can choose from over 100 online courses to upgrade themselves during the Covid-19 Circuit Breaker period. The free courses will be available until 31 May 2020.
Courses include change management, business management, leadership and innovation.
The partners will also offer technology courses such as data analytics, python coding, blockchain and cloud. Other courses include adobe photoshop and graphic design.
These courses will be fully online and take on a bite-sized learning format. The duration of each programme ranges from nine minutes to seven hours.
According to LHUB, learners have the freedom to choose their courses and learn at their own pace. They can also track their progress and get feedback from the platform.
“The Circuit Breaker period is an opportune one for workers in Singapore to make good use of time to upgrade skillsets. We believe that learning should never stop, so we remain committed to driving Singapore’s workforce forward in our transformation journey, especially through changing times. Our mission to make learning accessible to all workers has never been so pertinent and urgent than in the present,” said LHUB CEO Kwek Kok Kwong.
LHUB also plans to create relevant workplace safety and health (WSH) courses for foreign workers to help them during the Covid-19 period. Over the last week, the Government identified several foreign worker dormitories as Covid-19 clusters.
Touching on the partnership, GO1 co-founder Vu Tran said: “During this Circuit Breaker period, and even through unprecedented challenges, it is important that we continue to expand our knowledge and horizons. LHUB is spurring Singaporeans to learn anytime, anywhere, and on any device by going the extra mile with this initiative … GO1 stands ready to help Singaporeans by working with LHUB to offer this suite of free courses. This is an example of how people’s needs, especially in times of distress, take centre stage.”
