Thinking of a career in early childhood education?
The Early Childhood Education Agency (ECDA) and NTUC’s e2i (Employment and Employability Institute) are now hosting a virtual career fair that offers more than 1,000 jobs by various preschool operators.
The fair will run until this Friday, 10 July 2020.
To date, more than 4,700 have visited the fair and almost 800 have applied for jobs. Close to 1,000 have also signed up for free workshops to better understand what it takes to be an early childhood educator.
ECDA and e2i are also supporting preschools to recruit safe management assistants (SMA) over the next few months to help in the implementation of safe management measures to keep children safe during the COVID-19 period.
“e2i and the ECDA have been working together for the past few years to ramp up hiring for the early childhood sector. This crisis has shown how important educators are to the daily lives of our children, and we hope that more people, fresh grads and mid-careerists, will also take this crisis as an opportunity to explore and really consider joining this meaningful sector,” said e2i on its Facebook page on 3 July 2020.
