If we could describe the atmosphere at the May Day Domestic Employees Celebration 2018, it would be “carnivalesque”. And boy did the domestic employees know how to party!
Among the 2,000 in attendance, there were those from the Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, India and Sri Lanka, with many decked in their traditional wear.
All of them spent the day enjoying performances and fringe activities specially arranged for them to enjoy, bond with fellow domestic employees, and more importantly, know that the Labour Movement cares about them and appreciates their contributions to Singapore.
Without further ado, we bring you highlights of the event in photos.

Highlights of the event included free beauty and wellness services such as nail and glitter art, henna painting, massages and haircuts.
