Over 700,000 3-Gen Members to get benefits on private healthcare services at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, the newest hospital of Parkway Pantai Group

From 1st May, Union Members will be able to book and receive their first specialist consultation at MNH within 48 hours for only S$60

SINGAPORE, 29 April 2013 – As the Labour Movement (LM) kick-starts celebrations for May Day this year continuing with the theme “Better Jobs for All”, 300 union members received free health screenings at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital (MNH) on Saturday, 27 April 2013.

Mr Vivek Kumar, Director, NTUC Membership commented, “Labour Movement has made a call to “Value Every Job, Value Every Worker, Value Every Member”. Valuing the health of our members is critical and hence we strive to bring them quality healthcare and medical check-ups, so they can lead healthy and happy lives. Our valued partner, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, shares our vision and has shown their support by extending new benefits to over 700,000 3-Gen NTUC members at Mount Elizabeth Novena hospital, and indeed, by offering hundreds of free medical check-ups in celebration of May Day.”

Union member Ms Chan Hwee Ping, 59, added that she appreciated the opportunity to go for the free health screening and hopes that NTUC can do more of such healthcare initiatives to help members. She commented that, “Everyone needs to go for screening, even machines will spoil.  Health is very important to everyone, from work to everyday life, and it is good for members to know their sicknesses and problems earlier, and be cured earlier. The special rates for union members are very interesting, plus other benefits and that is why I joined the union since I started work.”
