In a bid to encourage the community to show their support and help low-income families, the NTUC-U Care Fund, supported by the NTUC FairPrice Foundation, launched the ‘We Care for families b’coz U Care’ campaign on 7 August 2016.

From now until 31 August 2016, the campaign will see the FairPrice Foundation contribute $1 to the NTUC-U Care Fund with every housebrand item sold at FairPrice’s network of more than 290 outlets islandwide.

The campaign aims to contribute $2.6 million for the beneficiaries of the NTUC-U Care Fund. The five house brands are FairPrice, Pasar, Pasar Organic, Home Proud and FairPrice Gold. These brands can be found at FairPrice supermarkets, FairPrice Finest, FairPrice Xtra and FairPrice Shop.

GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

“FairPrice is committed to making lives better for our community and we continue to give back through the NTUC-U Care Fund. This community engagement programme is a meaningful initiative as it meets the dual objectives of our social mission and in Doing Good,” said NTUC FairPrice CEO and NTUC FairPrice Foundation Director Seah Kian Peng.

“We are very grateful for the continued support from FairPrice Foundation year after year to reach out to our union members who may need a little extra help.

We would like to encourage all our union members and the general public to patronise any FairPrice outlet this month to lend their support as well.”

“It is through the collective effort from the community that we can truly make a difference and touch many lives,” said NTUC Assistant Secretary-General and Director of NTUC Care and Share Department Zainal Sapari.
