Come 7 September 2016, NTUC’s Freelancers and Self-Employed Unit (U FSE), in partnership with NTUC’s e2i (Employment and Employability Institute) will be organising its inaugural ‘Fair for Freelancers’ at the Red Dot Design Museum.
Freelancers will get to come together to meet, mingle and hopefully, gain new business opportunities. Additionally, business solutions providers and service aggregators will be on hand to showcase what’s available out there to support freelancers and bring them closer to clients in need of their services.
3 Highlights to Look Out For
1. Panel Discussions
A series of panel discussions will offer freelancers and self-employed individuals insights to the evolving business landscape. Attendees will also get to pick up tips and perspectives on freelancing, coping with challenges and growing a career.
Look out for dialogues with NTUC Assistant Secretary-General Ang Hin Kee as well as leaders from trending brands such as Grab and Airbnb.
2. Service Aggregators
Get connected with digital platforms such as Thunderquote and ServisHero which help link freelancers with clients online. Who knows, these platforms may also let you meet like-minded peers for possible project collaborations.
3. Business Solutions Providers
Spend less time worrying about how to sort out your paperwork and accounts and more time on doing a good job for your clients.
Business solutions providers such as Kaiyang Business Solutions, Dragon Law and Ice Cube Marketing will be on hand to offer solutions and tricks of the trade that will help take care of your ‘backend’ needs.
