In partnership with SEED Institute, the Education Services Union (ESU) held its inaugural For Our Children Conference recently to cross-share how educators and parents can forge more effective partnerships.
The conference was supported by NTUC’s e2i (Employment and Employability Institute), Early Childhood Development Agency, and Workforce Singapore.
The event, which saw some 160 in attendance, was graced by Social and Family Development Ministry and Education Ministry Senior Parliamentary Secretary Mohammed Faishal.
The initiative is one of ESU’s efforts to promote healthy teacher-parent relationships and improve the welfare of teachers.
In his welcome address, ESU Vice-President M Kunaseakanan shared that he hopes parents can gain a better understanding of the professionalism and expertise of early childhood educators, as well as reinforce at home what is being taught in school through the event.
