At the AsiaOne People's Choice Awards 2011/12 on 29 February 2012, two of the Labour Movement’s Social Enterprises received special recognition, living up to the Labour Movement’s mission to “Do Well”.
NTUC Income Insurance Co-operative Limited was hailed as the inaugural Best Car Insurer, a new category introduced this year. In the Best Credit/Debit Card category, NTUC Link Private Limited’s NTUC Plus! Visa Credit Card ended up amongst the top three cards for the second year running.
“Being named the Best Car Insurer in the AsiaOne People’s Choice Award 2011/2012 is a strong affirmation of consumers’ confidence in NTUC Income as Singapore’s leading insurer,” said NTUC Income Senior Vice President and General Manager of General Insurance Division Pui Phusangmook.
“Among the recent initiatives was Orange Force, our elite team of riders who provide accident-scene assistance to distressed customers. Over the last two years, we also offered rebates to private car owners who renew their policies with us. This year, we extended the rebate to motorcycle owners,” he elaborated.
NTUC Link Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tony Tan said: “We are probably one of the largest single branded cards in Singapore now, so we are going to keep growing it and we would like to become the most preferred card in Singapore very soon.”
NTUC Link also plans to increase more benefits and rewards for the card through a collaboration between NTUC Link and OCBC Bank to make it even more rewarding for members who use it for their daily needs.
The winners of the AsiaOne People's Choice Awards 2011/12 were chosen by readers who voted online from October to December 2011.
