Some 74 employers have been recognised by the Tripartite Alliance for Fair & Progressive Employment practices (TAFEP) as Human Capital Partners in a ceremony on 17 February 2017.
This comes three months after Minister for Manpower Lim Swee Say launched the Human Capital Partnership Programme (HCP) in November 2016.
Under the programme, employers are recognised for their commitment to progressive employment practices and development of their employees as human capital (HC).
Win-Win Outcomes
Addressing company leaders from multinational corporations, social enterprises like NTUC Fairprice and local small- and medium-sized companies at the ceremony, Guest of Honour Minister Lim said that HCP creates win-win outcomes for employers and employees.
“When human capital is a priority, businesses become better at what they do, and are better able to seize opportunities. At the same time, employees are able to adapt and grow in their careers.”
He also said that TAFEP, tripartite partners and economic and sector agencies will further support these companies in the development of new human capital programmes and in the scaling-up of existing HC initiatives.
These partner companies will also get to enjoy ‘green lane access’ to relevant government schemes such as Adapt and Grow initiatives, the Lean Enterprise Development Scheme (LEDS), WorkPro and SkillsFuture.
