NTUC Foodfare Co-operative Limited has certainly exceeded the expectations of a typical neighbourhood coffeeshop.
The latest outlet located at Block 420A Clementi Avenue 1 offers a clean and crisp décor with ample lighting and ventilation for maximised comfort. It aims to be the first of Singapore's next generation of coffeeshops in the heartlands while continuing to offer meals at affordable prices to the public.
Apart from the popular NTUC Value Meals, delicious Budget Pick meals are also available and range from $1.80 to $3.00 for basic foods and less than $4 for other food types. Public Assistance and Special Grant cardholders also enjoy a further 10 per cent discount on Budget Pick meals.
NTUC Foodfare CEO Perry Ong shared that its “tenants and business partners are different from other establishments because they share a commitment to uphold the social enterprise’s mission and initiatives from the moment they choose to come onboard”.
He noted that “coffee shops are heartland icons, and we want to be able to continue to evolve them as housing estates change”, adding that they also serve as “social spaces for communities and residents to enjoy”.
Moving forward, NTUC Foodfare will continue to keep basic essential beverages at low prices and provide a variety of quality, safe, and value-for-money meals to help stretch the hard-earned dollars of workers.
