In a media statement issued on 8 April 2015, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced several changes to his Cabinet as part of continuing leadership renewal.

Mr Chan Chun Sing

Mr Chan Chun Sing will be appointed Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office.

Mr Chan is now the Deputy Secretary-General of the NTUC and will take over the helm of the Labour Movement on 4 May 2015 from current NTUC Secretary-General Lim Swee Say.

Mr Chan will relinquish his appointments as Minister for Social and Family Development and Second Minister for Defence with effect from 9 April 2015.

Mr Lim Swee Say

Current NTUC Secretary-General Lim Swee Say will be appointed Minister for Manpower and will relinquish his appointment as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office on 4 May 2015.

Minister for Manpower Tan Chuan‐Jin will be appointed Minister for Social and Family Development on 9 April 2015. He will hold both portfolios until he relinquishes his appointment as Minister for Manpower on 4 May 2015.
