Mr Sophian Rafiai, who is the Assistant General Treasurer in the Singapore Industrial and Services Employees’ Union (SISEU), has also worked with the management to have more family-friendly practices kicked in. Paid paternity leave is now provided to all male employees. All employees are also now entitled to three days of family care leave.
He has also worked with SISEU headquarters to introduce the WorkPro Programme to his company, which now has a Health and Wellness Programme for employees.
