Brother Mashuthoo – A Leader and Mentor to All

Brother Mashuthoo Abdul Rahiman has served an impressive 41 years in the Labour Movement, taking on numerous roles within the Singapore Tamil Teachers’ Union (STTU).

He last held the role of Deputy Director of the union prior to his retirement in October 2015.

Many of his contributions were towards membership growth, raising funds for the union building and the professional development of its members.

His extensive network in the Tamil community has allowed STTU to work with other Tamil community organisations to advance the social role of the union, helping it to continually provide welfare for its members.

Despite his retirement, Brother Mashuthoo has stayed on in STTU as a mentor.
